NISM invites applications for faculty positions on contractual basis for
- Dean,
- Head of Department,
- Professor of Practice,
- Professor,
- Associate Professor,
- Assistant Professor,
- Adjunct Faculty and
- Visiting Faculty.
Legal - Law, Securities law and Regulations, Corporate Law, etc.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
i. Professor / Dean / Head of Department:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publication and a minimum of ten (10) years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience, of which at least four (4) years should be at the level of Associate Professor at an institution of repute.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publication and a minimum of ten (10) years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience, of which at least four (4) years should be at the level of Associate Professor at an institution of repute.
ii. Professor of Practice / Dean / Head of Department:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publication and a minimum of ten (10) years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience, of which at least four (4) years should be at the level of Associate Professor at an institution of repute.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publication and a minimum of ten (10) years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience, of which at least four (4) years should be at the level of Associate Professor at an institution of repute.
iii. Associate Professor:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publications and post qualification experience of minimum of six (6) years of post Ph.D. teaching/research experience, of which at least three (3) years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at an Institution of repute.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publications and post qualification experience of minimum of six (6) years of post Ph.D. teaching/research experience, of which at least three (3) years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at an Institution of repute.
iv. Assistant Professor:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a brilliant academic background. Post qualification experience of minimum three (3) years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience (excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D). However, for candidates who have obtained their Ph.D. from premier institutes and do not have the work experience of three years, on a case to case basis and based on their credentials the candidates may be offered Assistant Professor position on contract.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with a brilliant academic background. Post qualification experience of minimum three (3) years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience (excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D). However, for candidates who have obtained their Ph.D. from premier institutes and do not have the work experience of three years, on a case to case basis and based on their credentials the candidates may be offered Assistant Professor position on contract.
v. Adjunct Faculty:
Adjunct faculty position is suitable for those who seek positions based on contractual or course specific terms for a period of one year. This is a part time assignment and the candidate is responsible for taking classes and may teach 2 to 3 subjects in a year. Individuals with outstanding track record of success for a period of 10 years in academics or industry will be considered for appointment as Adjunct Faculty.
Adjunct faculty position is suitable for those who seek positions based on contractual or course specific terms for a period of one year. This is a part time assignment and the candidate is responsible for taking classes and may teach 2 to 3 subjects in a year. Individuals with outstanding track record of success for a period of 10 years in academics or industry will be considered for appointment as Adjunct Faculty.
vi. Visiting Faculty:
Individuals with outstanding track record of success in academic or industry will be considered. The visiting faculty is a part time assignment and shall be engaged in taking 1 subject in a year.
HOW TO APPLY:
1. Candidates, who are in service of Govt./Quasi-Govt. organisations/Public Sector Undertakings and applying for the above Faculty positions, shall produce a "No Objection Certificate' from their employer, at the time of interaction and a proper discharge certificate before appointment.
2. Candidates who are in service of Govt./ Quasi-Govt. organisations/Public Sector Undertakings and applying for the above Faculty positions on deputation basis, shall route their applications through their employers. They shall also furnish vigilance clearance (major/minor penalties, if any, imposed during last 10 years) and Annual Confidential Reports for last 5 years along with the application.
