Post Description
Pay Scale  PB-3 ₹15600-39100 with G.P. ₹6600/- (Level 11 in the revised pay matrix) (Total emoluments at the time of appointment will be ₹67,700/- plus admissible allowances )
Age  Not exceeding 43 years (reserved for OBC) (Relaxable for Government Servants upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government). For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’
Essential Qualificaiton (s)  I. Educational: Master’s degree or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in any of these subjects: History/Sociology/Economics/Political Science/Public Administration/Geography or Law from a recognized University or equivalent.
Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
II. Experience: 5 years’ post qualification experience in teaching at degree level/research/Preparation of teaching-learning material/curriculum development/educational testing/examination reforms/development and administration of online examination.
Desirable Qualificaiton (s)
Duty(ies)  Deputy Director (ER) will assist the senior officers in Examination Reforms, Syllabus Revision and related work.
Probation  One year.
Head Quarter  New Delhi
Other Details  General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is temporary but likely to be continued indefinitely.
